Today we had another doctor's appointment. I really think they are starting to get to know me! It was just a standard appointment, except this time we got to schedule an ultrasound!!! The big day is June 12 at 2:45! I really can't believe that it is that close already, it seems like yesterday we found out that we were going to have this little one. Unfortunately, I won't be able to put the sex on here for awhile after that, but Eric and I will know.
We found out today that my blood work came back perfectly normal, which is good. I still have that stupid ultrasound on Thursday. I really wouldn't mind it, but I can't have breakfast before I go and I'm not sure how that will end up. My body is really liking the routines that are set in place and not eating for 8 hours is not part of it, but it has to be done! My doctor said that if the stones were bad enough they would be doing surgery while I am pregnant :( which is really not going to be fun. Otherwise, if they are not bad, which I don't know what defines bad and not bad, then I will have to watch what I eat (really not what I had imagined for my first pregnancy) and after the baby comes then I will have surgery.
Well that is really all for now!
Have a great night everyone!

Not so good...
Well, I thought for sure that my next post would be Monday after the doctor's appointment saying that everything is fine. Due to this weekend, it is different. For about a month I have been getting really bad pain on my right side, it is to high to be my appendix. At first it would just come and go, nothing to serious, it just felt like a cramp. I would move around a little and it would go away. Well, Thursday night I went downtown, for those who don't know it was Tulip Time in Holland, and I ate a lot of junk food. Most of which is fried and very high in fat. Since then the pain in my side has been extremely bad. Crazy enough, it mostly only happens at night. Last night I was in so much pain, it felt like someone was stabbing me in the side and no matter what moving around I did, it didn't get better. I called the on-call doctor and he told me not to go to the emergency room but to go in tomorrow (now today).
Today I went in and seriously the nurse made me upset. I was telling her the story and the history of the pain. She looks at me and says "Well, it says here your last appointment was 3 weeks ago. If you had pain then, why didn't you tell the doctor then?" I was dumbfounded. I had just got done telling her that it started off feeling like a cramp...just a cramp...not a stabbing pain that would come and go! Do they not listen?
Anyway, I am done venting! The doctor came in and felt around. She thinks that something is wrong with my gallbladder. I have to go in next week Thursday for an ultrasound of my gallbladder and we won't find out the results until the Monday after that. I just pray that the pain will be tolerable for the next week and that whatever is wrong will be something that is controllable until the baby comes. I really don't care what I have to deal with as long as it doesn't harm the baby. The doctor said that right now surgery was the last thing she wanted to do. I really think this next week is going to be a long one.
Just thought I would update everyone on this little detail!

Mother's Day!
Well, yesterday was my technical first mother's day. It's really weird because I know I'm pregnant, but you can't tell. Eric was a sweetheart though. He made a card from the baby to me. It was so sweet. Other than that we just had dinner with Eric's family and then came home and watched a freaky movie. I'm sure next year will be better and more entertaining!! Next week Monday we have another doctor's appointment. Unfortunately it isn't the one where we find out if it is a boy or a girl...but that is the next one...hopefully! We have also decided that we are going to have a party to tell everyone the sex. So nobody but Eric and I are going to know...not even our parents so don't try to get it out of them. We are only inviting our immediate family, which actually ends up being about 35 people! After we tell our family, then and only then, are we going to tell other people. Which does mean I will post it on here!!! I can't wait, I really just want to know if it is a boy or a girl!! We are still praying for a boy. Anyway, that's all for now!
Have a great night everyone!

2nd Trimester
Hey Everyone!
Well I am officially in the 2nd Trimester!! Just as I have been praying for months (well about 2), I have officially gone 3 days without getting sick! It's so amazing. I have felt kinda funny from time to time this weekend, but actually getting sick....NOPERS!!! I love it and I pray it continues. My energy is nothing short of coming back, which is also a blessing. Today I got to work out on the lawn all day. I got fried, but I loved every moment.
So nothing but awesome news! (Please note: I didn't write that I had to work on homework!!)
Have a great day!

Everythings Ok!
Alrighty...after spending almost an hour at the doc's, it was determined that I have pulled a muscle in my neck. She also checked the baby's heart beat and it was just a beating away. I currently have to ice my neck, take tylenol with coating (I know that's not right, but that's what it sounded like) and have to have 2 days off of work. She also doesn't want me lifting things. So...I'm left to do pretty much nothing. I really pray that this will take care of the pain.
Have a great night!

Pain
Hey everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. For the most part I did.
Friday I started developing a severe pain in the back of my neck, it is kind of right where my head and neck meet. After I got out of work, I laid down and took a nap. This sounded like a wonderful idea at the time. When I woke up, I was in so much pain I started throwing up. I took some ibephrophen and that helped a little bit, but the pain was still there. I really took it easy for the rest of the night because I did not want it to get worse.
We decided to go to bed, which once again, sounded like an awesome idea. Instead, everytime I laid down I would throw up. Needless to say I was up until 3 in the morning trying to fight this. Finally I broke down and called the emergency phone number for my doctor. The lady said to take some Alieve (It's all I had in the house) and if it didn't get better then go to the emergency room. Well, after I took the Alieve, I fell asleep sitting up.
The next morning the pain was still there, but not near as bad. So I just thought that it was fixing itself. All day Saturday, it was sore, but absolutely nothing like Friday.
Sunday, the pain was back. I didn't go to the hospital because I had my graduation and I really didn't want to miss that. So I took some Alieve and pulled through. Eric and I decided that at that point I needed to call the doctor on Monday because it obviously wasn't going to get better.
Well here we are on Monday, I called the doctor and I have to go in in about 1/2 an hour. I pray that it is something simple and something that won't affect and hasn't affected the baby at all. So after I get out I will update on here.
Have a great day!

The Heart Beat!!
Hey everyone!
What a day! God is so amazing, the technology he has made, WOW! Anyway, we got to hear the heartbeat for the first time today. It was great, not only great but perfect! Hearing it, made everything just feel real. Besides being sick, having a positive test, and some random soreness, it honestly just felt like we were just telling people that we were having a baby. It just didn't seem real, but hearing that blom blom noise and seeing 166 beats per minute on the little screen, it is real! It's really real!
This past week we also got a minivan! Me driving a minivan...yeah it's dangerous! Eric yelled at me because I hit the mailbox...well 3 times now...with my mirrors. I'm just not used to driving something that big. We got a 2002 Dodge Caravan, I absolutely love it. We wanted something bigger so we could take Grace and the baby somewhere at the sametime. There is so much room in it, I just don't know what to do with it all!
Sunday, we had our first softball practice. Talk about really hard! I, obviously, am not able to play, so sitting on the sidelines was extremely hard. Seeing everyone run around, I felt like the kid with chickenpox in the middle of summer. Going from playing on two teams, to none at all, it's a big change for me and I really think it is going to be tough. In the end, I'll have a little baby, so it will be worth it. We also go out for ice cream after every game, so that will be a bonus as well!
Well this ended up being A LOT longer than I thought! Time to get crackin on my final!
Have a great night.
