Stromboli
~2 one pound frozen white bread dough
~1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese
~8 oz thin ham
~8 oz salami/pepperoni
~1/2 cup chopped parsley
Glaze
~1 egg lightly beaten
~1 tsp water
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Line baking sheet with foil and lightly coat with nonstick spray.
For Each Loaf:
On lightly floured surface roll dough to 10X14 inch rectangle with long side facing you and lacing 1/2 inch border on all sides. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup of cheese. Top with 1/2 the ham slices over lapping. Add another 1/4 cup of cheese, then 1/2 of your other meat. Press gently to pack layers. Sprinkle with 1/2 the parsley* and another 1/4 cup of cheese.
Tightly roll up from long side. Pinch together along the seams and ends to seal. Place seam side down 4 inches apart on baking sheet. Brush with glaze and cut 3 slits on the top of each loaf.
Bake 30 minutes or until tops are brown. Let cool before slicing.
*I will also sprinkle some garlic on as well. It adds more flavor.
