Eric and I found out that we were pregnant! It really just seems like it was yesterday. I can't believe how fast time flies. This is the first thing that we bought for Malakai. At the time, we didn't know it would be for Malakai, but it was for "Baby"
With the restaurant being out of commission, I have been blessed with a ton of time with Malakai. He has really started developing such a personality. Honestly, crying is not one of his favorite things to do. Laughing is what consists of most of his day. As long as I am on top of the time, he doesn't cry that much. Schedules are such a great thing! I really need to get the camera out more.
Have a great day and God Bless

Manic Monday!

Wow! The restaurant has been gone for over a week. It honestly doesn't seem to be possible. Life without a job just isn't fun! Although, today I do have to go into what is left of the basement and inventory what we can get at. Unfortunately, there isn't any heat down there, so we are planning on dressing warm! If you want to keep up on the newest news about the restaurant here is the link: http://jackiesplacerestaurant.blogspot.com/

Well since this is suppose to be a blog about little stinker, I'll change subjects! Well Malakai's newest nickname is: Little Stank. I really don't know where I got that from, but it fits. He is growing sooo much it is crazy! He has to go to the doctor in a couple weeks for his 4 month check up. 4 months...can you believe it? Where does time go? He is always so happy and it is so much fun to get him laughing. Last night, for the first time, he pulled himself up so he was sitting up. Sitting up is his newest most favorite thing to do. Here are some pictures to update everyone.

This is in his car seat. All I have to do is put him in it and say "Are we going to Nanna and Papa's?" and he smiles like there is no tomorrow. He definetely loves his Nanna and Papa (Jodi and Kevin).

This is in his new special chair. It helps him sit up. Before he was able to sit up on his own, this would make him happy. Otherwise, we had to hold him sitting up to stop him from crying. This little seat is such a blessing. Now, I put it on a chair at the table and he'll sit there while I clean the kitchen. He just laughs and laughs!

When I look at this picture, I think "I didn't do it Mommy" This is in his little jumperoo. He will bounce and bounce and bounce. It is funny because he'll be just going to town and then all of a sudden he will start crying. Then you have to take him out and just hold him, within minutes he will be sleeping. He really is becoming so much fun!

"Now I love to put things in my mouth" This was on his little changing table. Whenever you try to dress him, he will always take the sleeve and put it in his mouth now. It is just hillarious. He has also started to drool like crazy.

Well now that I don't have to work, I will do my best to start keeping this up to date more. Now I actually have time to take more pictures and post more.

God Bless!

What a weekend

Well unfortunately this is not a happy post at all.

While most people spent Saturday celebrating Valentine's Day, ours was completely taken away. My whole family spent it mourning the loss of our business. Saturday morning my father got a phone call at about 3:45 AM from the police. They told him the restaurant was on fire. The firefighters had most of it out and they went in to finish putting it out and then there was some kind of explosion. That final bit lit the whole thing up. Thankfully all the firefighters got out safely and no one was in there when it was lite up.

So the past two days have really just been a blur. When I'm not there and I'm not starring at what used to be my dad's business, it just seems like it was nothing short of a horrible dream.

This is the place that I grew up. I met Eric there. We got engaged. My child was welcomed with open arms by the people that eat there. Everyone that ate there was just like a family to us. Now it is gone. Everything that my dad has busted his ass for for the past 24 years is completely gone. My grandparents belongings...their whole past...items that have been pasted down through generations...items that were suppose to be past down more generations....everything...gone. It really still just seems like it is a horrible nightmare and I'll wake up tomorrow morning and be able to go to work. But I have to spend the whole day trying to figure things out.

My whole family and the community is very upset about this. There is now up to a $5000 reward for ANY information leading to the SOB who did this to us. I pray that God will give my family peace and that He will lead the police to whoever did this. Please pray for my grandparents and my father. Pray that God will help this process go smoothly and that things will get up and running in lightening speed.

God Bless
