Blueberries...cont!

About a month ago, Malakai and I had the privilege to go blueberry picking with Jamie. We had so much fun and blueberries are one of Malakai's favorite foods now!
This is right before we headed out to the field. I wanted to try out my new "hip-hammock". Not a good idea! My right shoulder was extremely soar when we got done.

Overall, Malakai did really well! He loved to reach out and pull the leaves off the branch. Next year will be tons of fun, well interesting fun. I think I'm going to invest in a child leash!

Aunt Steph Weekend

Eric's sister, Stephanie, came home from Vegas for the weekend. We had such a fun filled time with the whole family. Friday we were going to head out to the zoo. Saturday we celebrated Steph's birthday. Sunday we had family pictures and hung out by the pool!
On Friday when I walked through the door, it just so happened that Steph was wearing the same top! It was so funny! Yes she did decide to change because that would just look goofy!
Malakai was soo excited to head into the zoo! He is such a goof!
He got to pet a baby goat. I'm sure he thought it was the dog.
Getting some love from cousin Tyler. They are just so cute together!
We let Tyler, with the help of Jodi, feed Malakai his dinner. Believe it or not, they didn't make that big of a mess!
Malakai really loves his Aunt Steph!
Hanging out by the fire. This is probably the first time during the whole weekend that Malakai didn't throw up on her while she was holding him.
Family Picture Day!

So tired from the busy weekend! I LOVE it when he falls asleep like this, it reminds me of when he was smaller. Most of the time this was the only way I could get him to fall asleep. He is getting way to big!
We had such a fun weekend with Steph. She is so good with both of the boys and they act like she is always around. I don't think they have ever acted shy around her! We can't wait until she comes back for Christmas!! Hopefully she'll be able to stay a little longer. Thanks for coming home Steph!!

Blog Hop - My favorite recipe!

This recipe was passed onto me by one of my really great friends and amazing cook!!

Stromboli
~2 one pound frozen white bread dough
~1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese
~8 oz thin ham
~8 oz salami/pepperoni
~1/2 cup chopped parsley
Glaze
~1 egg lightly beaten
~1 tsp water

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Line baking sheet with foil and lightly coat with nonstick spray.

For Each Loaf:
On lightly floured surface roll dough to 10X14 inch rectangle with long side facing you and lacing 1/2 inch border on all sides. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup of cheese. Top with 1/2 the ham slices over lapping. Add another 1/4 cup of cheese, then 1/2 of your other meat. Press gently to pack layers. Sprinkle with 1/2 the parsley* and another 1/4 cup of cheese.

Tightly roll up from long side. Pinch together along the seams and ends to seal. Place seam side down 4 inches apart on baking sheet. Brush with glaze and cut 3 slits on the top of each loaf.

Bake 30 minutes or until tops are brown. Let cool before slicing.

*I will also sprinkle some garlic on as well. It adds more flavor.

Blog Hop

***
I thought I would give the blog hop a try! Today's hop is about 3 things you don't know about me/us. At least I think they are things you don't know!
The first is:
Our first vacation was to see Grandpa Jim and Grandma Barbie. We had such a great time and we also went to Mackinac Island!

The second is:
The first time we went rustic camping with all of our friends. I was playing in the river and I touched a SNAKE! I thought it was a tadpole or something like that. It was just a snake that was under some sand. I wish we would have had a picture of my face after I touched it!
Last but not least:
I really don't like the beach! We had so much fun getting our wedding pictures there, but I don't like sand at all!

What a super fun and busy weekend! There are tons of pictures in this post, but we were just having that much fun!

We started out with one of my softball games. Here Malakai is soo excited to go! He actually just likes getting his picture taken that well!
Eric thought he was being smart by putting Malakai's hat on. Unfortunately he didn't know I had the camera!
After my softball game we went to the fireworks with a bunch of our friends. This is one of my friends' daughters with Malakai. He really liked her!

Malakai loves playing with the puppies. You have to watch him though, he likes to pull on their ears!
Relaxing on the swing with Great Grandma! He liked this swing. For some reason he wasn't to fond of this one!
This was his first time in a lake. He loved to pick up the sand and fling his arms around! This is him splashing! He loves water so much!
Driving the golf cart!
